Tip of the Month - June, 2001

Can you explain to me how the discount field in the Quote Entry Applet is used? This applet is in the Quotes/My Quotes view. It does not appear to affect the quote price at all. The line items are not discounted unless you specifically enter a discount for each line item.

Currently, if you remove the $0.00 from the "Disc Amount" column in the Quote Items then you will see that the value, you added for the Discount in the Quote, will be applied to all the items for which the "Disc Amount" has been removed. However if you use the Reprice button, $0.00 is put back in the "Disc Amount" column and the discount applied to the Quote through the 'Discount' field is lost.
